WHAT WE BELIEVE | CALVARY CHAPEL DISTINCTIVES

CCBCE ministries are connected to, and is doctrinally aligned with, Calvary Chapel.
Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational church movement focused on the inerrancy of the Bible and the expository teaching from Genesis to Revelation.

WHO WE ARE | CCBCE DISTINCTIVES

Bible

CCBCE places a priority on the Scripture.  We demonstrate this desire by teaching verse-by-verse through various books of the Bible.  Upon graduation, students will have studied through all 66 books of the Bible.

Missions

Every semester all CCBCE students--regardless of program--are part of one ten day outreach, and one weekend outreach.  Outreach teams are primarily sent to existing Calvary Chapel ministries throughout Europe and beyond.  These ministries are often led and/or supported by former CCBCE students.  God often puts a burden on the hearts of students for specific areas of ministry, culture, people group, and/or location during these outreach opportunities.

Fellowship

Since nearly all staff lives on campus, there is a unique dynamic between staff and students at CCBCE.  Meals are eaten together.  Staff serves alongside students on weekend functions.  Many of the staff go on, or lead outreaches.  We meet weekly for time(s) of Bible study, prayer, worship, and communion.  Additionally, every student is plugged into a home fellowship held at staff members home.

International

Our student body is made up of various cultures, nationalities, languages, and denominations.  Not only do we go out, but the Lord brings the mission field to CCBCE.  Students share rooms with, eat with, learn and serve alongside, students from a culture that is not their own.  This adds a special dynamic, that is a small sample of the diversity of the Body of Christ.

Location

Our campus location is Zichy Kastély (Castle), located in Vajta, Hungary.  We are approximately two hours from the Hungarian capital, Budapest.  The location affords a place with fewer distractions, allowing students to have a time set apart to be with the Lord.  Also, because our facility operates as a conference center, one of the amenities is ability to accommodate single students, married couples, and families.

HISTORY

CCBCE began in the early 1990's in Millstatt, Austria.
The vision was:
- to see more Europeans equipped with the Word of God.
- to give American students the opportunity to study in a different culture.
- that all would learn about missions.
In 2002, CCBCE relocated to its current campus, Zichy Kastély (Castle), located in Vajta, Hungary.
