DEGREE PROGRAM

  • Candidates for graduation must complete a total of 120 credits.
  • Credit Breakdown: 82 US credits of Core Requirements, 18 US credits of Electives, 20 US credit Thesis Paper
  • No grade below a "C-" will be credited toward graduation
  • Transferring Credits: *Minimum of 20 US class credits must be taken through CCBCE.
  • Different from the two-year (CCBC) curriculum, there is a specific order to which classes must be taken.  The European system deals with classes in terms of years, rather than semesters.  For example, in high school or secondary school, one is required to fulfill the requirements of Algebra I prior to taking Algebra II.  In the same manner, classes must be taken in a series.  If year one classes (semesters one and two) are not completed, you cannot move on to year two classes.  Failure to complete the classes in the specified order can delay graduation by one year (or more).

CURRICULUM

  • The class curriculum for the Bachelor of Arts in Theology is comprised three modules: CORE FOUNDATION CLASSES, CORE SPECIALTY CLASSES, and ELECTIVE CLASSES.
  • Please note the credit values for each class.  The European credit system doubles the number of credits. For example, Devotions class is now counted as 2 credits, instead of 1 credit.  It is the same class, same number of hours, but the class credits are given a different value.  If you have already taken 20 US credits, under the European credit system, you have 40 EU credits.
  • For this module, there is a total of 55 US credits OR 110 EU credits.
  • An "X" placed in a corresponding semester box denotes the prescribed order for each class enrollment.
